LIFESTYLE | Hello November

Ahhhh I can't believe how close we are to Christmas! What is this madness? After a fun Halloween, it's time for the winter celebrations to really start: Guy Fawkes night, my boyfriend's birthday, my birthday, the big (Christmas) day and sh*tloads of xmas markets and other seasonal related events.

I'm so excited!

Here's what I'm looking forward to this month in particular.

THE EVENT
I'll likely do a roundup post of all seasonal things going on in London this winter, but one event I'm super excited for (and taking place tomorrow!) is Roof East's newest winter attraction. The East London rooftop is where you'll usually find Rooftop Cinema and an outdoor bar/crazy golf in the summer, but now it has all been transformed into a winter wonderland with a curling experience, igloos, a ski lodge bar and more: aka a winter rooftop playground. Tomorrow is the launch of it all and I can't wait to share how awesome it's clearly going to be!
Rooftop East's winter attractions are on throughout winter.

THE MOVIE
This isn't my type of movie normally, but I'm kinda looking forward to Murder On The Orient Express, which is packed full of stars such as Michelle Pfeiffer, Johnny Depp, Daisy Ridley and Judy Dench among others. The murder-mystery will likely have you on the edge of your seat as soon as the first murder is underway and it's unique in that the characters are stuck on the train with said murderer. Plus, I've always wanted to go travelling around Europe on one of those really posh/glam trains and I bet the countryside that the train travels through during the film is absolutely stunning.
Murder On The Orient Express will be released on the 2nd.

THE BOOK
Bonfire from none other than Krysten Ritter sounds like the perfect slow-burner mystery to read this winter. It's based around the life of Abby Williams who hasn't been home in ten years and now leads a successful life as an environmental lawyer. However, when she's drawn back home, cracks start to appear in her so-called perfect life, and she discovers there's weird coincidences with her past when she's faced with investigating a case. The storyline peaked my interest, but I also love that it's written by one of my favourite actresses. Krysten Ritter is such a badass who plays amazing roles, so I've no doubt this book will be very edgy.
Bonfire will be released on the 7th.

THE TV SERIES
C'mon, am I really going to suggest anything other than Stranger Things 2? The heavily anticipated series is back at last (although, honestly, has been available to watch for a few days now) and boy it's nice to be reunited with such an amazing set of characters and actors. Series two see's everyone picking up from last year and trying to get back to normality almost a year on, but of course, nothing is quite normal. Eleven is still presumed to be dead, both Dustin and Lucas fall for a new girl and Will, of course, is anything but okay after the first seasons events. Oh, and will we finally get #JusticeForBarb?
Stranger Things 2 is available to stream on Netflix now.

ANYTHING ELSE?
I have signed up to NaNoWriMo again! November is National Novel Writing Month and this website/movement encourages people to write more, as well as pushing those who already write to get those novels started/continued/finished: and we all know how hard it is to get through writer's block, so NaNoWriMo is a godsend! I did this a few years back and managed to get around HALF of my novel completed, so here's hoping in November I can get to the end of it, or at least close as possible. I have signed up to write 50,000 words this month so wish me luck!

That's what I'm looking forward to this month - how about you?
