May seems like such a standard month, doesn't it? I feel like the months between winter and summer just all blend into one weird time where you can never quite decide on what to wear outside (because you never know whether to expect rain or shine) and you're waiting desperately for sunshine but still missing cosy nights in.

Luckily, there's still lots to look forward to this month...

There's not a whole lot to look forward to this month in terms of movies. Of course, there's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, which came out last month and I'm still itching to see. I'm sort of looking forward to the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie though. I haven't really stayed up to date with previous movies - after the first three I stopped watching but now that both Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley are reprising their roles, I'll likely give this one a watch.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be released on 26th.

This is a tough one, as so many bands have dropped new material in the last week or so. First of all we had Fall Out Boy with Young and Menace, shortly followed by All Time Low's newest offering, Life of the Party and, of course, Paramore's comeback (even though I'm not sure they even officially went away). Their new album, After Laughter is heavily anticipated among fans and I too am looking forward to hearing what they bring to the table. I was never a fan of their early stuff (despite being ultra catchy), but absolutely loved Still Into You, so it'll be interesting to learn what direction they go in with this new album.
After Laughter will be released on 12th.

Technically a two-part documentary as opposed to a TV series, Casting JonBenét is the latest attempt at solving the mystery behind the death of child beauty pageant queen, JonBenét Ramsey. The mystery surrounding her death has been an interesting subject for a long time now and I'm eager to watch this documentary, being that I love my conspiracy theories. The most interesting one is that JonBenét is actually Katy Perry! This documentary looks fascinating and in the way the content is shown too, being that it's a unique twist on a documentary. Give it a watch and do let me know your thoughts.
Casting JonBenét is available on Netflix now.

Since 'growing up', I actually tend to buy more stuff for my room than I do with clothes etc these days. I love funky prints - especially ones with inspirational phrases - but I've also liked the idea of buying some actual art. The Affordable Art Fair gives people the chance to buy art for less, with works costing £5,000 and under. The fact that it's held in London too gives me hope that the work is less prestige and more funky.
The Affordable Art Fair runs from 11th to the 14th at Hampstead Heath.

There's actually not much I can share this month as I'm still super skint from holiday so I'm cutting down on my plans. I'm actually looking forward to a chilled month of relaxing at home (and the boyfriend's), after re-installing Netflix! There's tons of TV shows to catch up on and we already have plans to binge watch 13 Reasons Why, Jane The Virgin and Santa Clarita Diet. I also have plans to introduce him to Shameless US, whereas I've signed up for a Narcos binge watch. It's crazy how many TV shows you realize you need to watch when you get in a new there anything you can recommend?

What else is on offer this May? Let me know!
