Blogging might look really easy, especially if writing is someones passion.

It's not.

I mean, sure, it's fun, I absolutely love writing and wouldn't give my blog up for the world but that's not to say it's easy. It's not just about having an idea and typing it out. It's about research, taking photos, editing, sharing and promoting, networking...and most importantly, planning.

Thankfully that's where the blogging planner comes in. In the past I've used various notebooks to scrawl down my ideas but this has never really worked for me, even if half the time I tend to forget which notebook I'm using! So when this amazing blogging planner arrived on my doorstep, I knew blog planning was going to get a lot easier.

I've only been using it a couple of days and already I feel so much more organized and motivated in terms of my blog. I don't think it's a coincidence that I'm already getting more ideas for posts then I have done for months - I think by purchasing a planner my subconscious knows how badly I want to use it and fill up the pages!

It is off course, super helpful with sections for each individual blog post. It's a planner FOR BLOG POSTS PEOPLE. How rare and helpful is that? Each section includes a bit for what tags you're going to use, the planning that goes into it and even a checklist for where you're promoting the post. This is really helpful for me because although I share my post on two networks without fail - Facebook and Twitter - this reminds me of other ways to share which I often forget about - Pinterest, Instagram etc. There's even one for Snapchat but I'll be replacing this with Tumblr.

There's also sections to round up how successful your blog has been at the end of the month - incomings, subscribers etc. My blog isn't a big blog so I don't think I'll be using this much but I think it will push me to improve in these areas and set more goals.

You can personalize the planner when purchasing and choose what sections you'd like to include. I think in hindsight the general planner wasn't needed as I already have two notebooks I use for planning/scheduling other parts of my life that don't involve the blog so it seems a bit confusing for me to have to list my work rota and day to day plans in three different notebooks, so instead I'll use this for blog things solely - photos I need to take, blog events to attend, research to do etc.

I wouldn't say a blog planner is necessary but I do think if you get to the point where you're blogging two or three plus times a week - every week - as opposed to just when you feel like it, then this planner is really helpful and definitely a blogger must have.

Plus the design is super super cute too..

  3. Great post. I ordered one a few weeks ago and I love it. It's so nice to have a few months planned and I can actually keep track of where I am with each post. Xx
