FASHION | SUMMER TREND - HEAD CHAINS

Summer 2015 is looking to be a summer that embraces some of the most out there trends there is. This is not a summer to be subtle. This is a summer that began with tassels and fringed tops, mixed with bold and colourful print. But, lately, it's the accessories that are stealing the show, proving that simple and bland outfits can easily be transformed into eye-openers or more on-trend looks with some of this summers coolest accessories.

Head chains are proving to be ever so popular right now and I've got to say, even though it looks like a trend that will drive me mad (I'll be forever worrying that it's falling off or whatever), it's also a trend that is totally worth it because it looks awesome. Head chains are the perfect addition to any outfit and the great thing is that you can have them for different occasions. Yes, they totally scream music festival and could offer a more stylish but subtle approach to this years hottest fashion, replacing those flower bands that are so-last-year, but you don't need to be partying in a field to pull off this trend. Because there are such a variety, it's very easy to pick up a more simple & less in your face chain, perfect for causal summer days, warm nights out or even a Friday afternoon at work.

These head chains/head dresses are super cute, from the simple gold one from Claire's Accessorize to the more colourful festival one from Accessorize. The best thing is that even if you have a fringe, you can still rock this look. For example, the one from Claire's drops down and sits on the side of your head, as opposed to the one from New Look that wouldn't really go with a fringe.

To style this look out, I'd suggest a simple, flowing outfit with different layers, paired with loose wavy curls, simple sandles and perhaps an anklet or too. I'd also suggest some gold temporary tattoos which are also hugely popular right now!

What do you think of this new trend? Will you be trying it out anytime soon? Let me know with a comment!
