A week or so ago, I blogged about some underrated UK getaways for Valentines day, for all you lucky people out there who have someone special in your lives this February. In the post I also promised to blog about some ideas for fellow singletons such as myself or, as I like to call it, 'single pringles'.
|Lolz. This still continues to make me laugh far more than it should.|
Even though sometimes it's tough to be single, there are tons of good points about it too. Think never having to put up with constant burping/farting/snoring every night, never having to give obligatory blow jobs just cause you're on and being able to spend all your money on yourself and no one else. JOY. Quite possibly my favourite part of being single.
Valentines Day can be the PERFECT excuse to treat yourself. Why should you miss out on getting gifts just because you don't have to put up with a stinky bloke? You don't have to try and justify to anyone just how much you've spent on beautiful lingerie and, let's face it, you'll probably do a better job at treating yourself than a hopeless guy will (which is probably half the reason why you like being single).
Here are some ideas of ways in which you can splurge money on yourself this upcoming Valentines..
1, Ferrero Rocher 24 piece, £9.00, Debenhams. Ummmm because it's chocolate. No further explanation needed.
2. Olive Shower, Scrub & Soften Collection,
£17.00 £12.00, The Body Shop. Because everyone loves & needs smellies.
3. Ripley's Believe It Or Not...After Dark tickets, £35.00, Groupon. Grab your best mate and head down to Ripley's Believe It Or Not to explore the museum after dark and experience the entertainment they have on offer with an adult twist. With oddball performances, a live burlesque show and adult quizzes and games, you know you'll have a hilarious time with your best mate. So much more fun than a boring romantic meal out!
4. Spa Day with Body Wrap & Bubbly at Health Aroma, £49.00, Groupon. Another one to do with your best mate, or sister, or mum...a lovely spa day which you just know wouldn't be the same with a bloke.
5. Tamsin Lace Babydoll and Briefs, £40.00, Boux Avenue. SO GORGEOUS. Sooo maybe a guy won't see it (or maybe he will, you can still have some non-strings attached fun despite it being Valentines y'know!) but who cares?! As long as you know you look sexy in this (and you will) it's going to be an instant confidence boost. AND because you're single, you don't have to justify spending £40.00 on lingerie to ANYONE.
6. Mac Cosmetics Lipstick,
£15.50, £13.95, Debenhams. Mac can be pricey, especially if you're paying that much just for a lipstick, so what better occasion to splurge out on a gorgeous lipstick like this than Valentines Day? Plus, it would totally look amazing with that Babydoll too. Just saying.
So there you have it. Six different ways to treat yourself this Valentines Day, without having to wait for a guy to try and fail to treat you himself. Valentines Day doesn't just have to be for those in relationships y'know! You can also see the full collection of items here.
