REVIEW // L'OREAL COLOR RICHE COLLECTION IN SHADE LIYA'S NUDE

Last week, I posted about a collection of L'Oreal Paris lipsticks I picked up (which was a total bargain btw), and reviewed the first of five lipsticks in this haul. Tonight I'm reviewing the second shade!

I won't go into too much detail about the lipstick, as I went into detail with the last review, although admittedly this was from a different 'collection' I suppose. This lipstick, unlike the first one, is actually an exclusive lipstick chosen by one of six L'Oreal Paris spokespersons. This one is designed by Liya Kebede and is a gorgeous chocolate brown shade - certainly something a bit different!

However, I did find that this wasn't as long lasting and was a little greasy. It took a good few coats to get the colour to build up, but even then I found it had a far too shiny/greasy look. The colour alone was really pretty and different, but I didn't think it suited me specifically. I think it probably is a shade I'd wear again when feeling particularly brave and I do feel it will suit certain skin types, just not mine specifically.

The lipstick itself looks like a much richer chocolate shade, but when applied it's more of a soft nude brown, one that would surely compliment the right eye makeup!

Moving on, overall I did find the lipstick to be a standard and pretty lipstick, but not one that was quite for me. The packaging was really cute however and definitely looked exclusive. I loved the idea that the shade was a little different, even purple and real dark gothic red shades are becoming more and more popular, but brown shades isn't something I see often. I'll definitely be keeping this and using it for when I feel confident enough, but as a day to day shade I don't think it's ideal!

What do you think about this colour? Let me know!
