A couple of weeks ago I headed down to Ligne Roset City to check out their collaboration with Ong-Oaj Pairam to create a one off installation, combining the two industries of upholstery and fashion.
Having seen images from Ong-Oaj Pairam's collection from London Fashion Show, I was very excited to check out this exclusive collaboration, if even just because it's a bit different. The fashion designer paired up with Ligne Roset City to create a one off recreation of the Togo armchair and pouffe.
And what a chair it was. Using luxury materials and drawing upon his usual influences from art, design, architecture and even cartoons, Ong-Oaj Pairam managed to create what possibly looked like not only the most comfortable chair I've ever seen, but clearly the most stylish too! Draped in stunning colours that are easy on the eye, the chair also redefined the designers love for the final touches - hence the painstakingly perfect small butterflies adjourning the Togo armchair which only adds value to this beautiful piece.
The event was set in Ligne Roset City and included afternoon tea - aka cocktails in beautiful vintage cups and saucers - and yummy food such as Macaroon's and cucumber sandwiches - delicious! Guests such as myself manage to indulge in this delicious food whilst discovering other stunning products by other top designers.
I found it really interesting to see the two different industries working together to create 'a space where positive expression is determined by colour material and perseverance for innovation' and would love to thank Katch PR for the invite. I had a lovely evening looking around the showroom and mingling, and the yummy cocktails and food were of course a nice bonus too!
