This past weekend has been the busiest one in a long, long time and if I'm really honest, the vast majority of this week just gone has been pretty fun. I enjoy adventuring off to random places and love capturing the moment even more, so here's just a little glance of my Instagram feed from the last few days...

On Wednesday I headed into London for the launch of Ong-Oaj's collaboration with Ligne Roset City, which featured one very fabulous and comfy looking chair (as well as lots of free cocktails and yummy sandwiches). My sister texted me late Thursday night to tell me that herself and her boyfriend weren't feeling up to heading all the way into London the following day for one very big gig, so guess who bagged those tickets instead? Yep! Yours truly grabbed a good looking guy and managed to see the Arctic Monkeys in Finsbury park which was definitely some awesome last minute plans, especially since said good looking guy paid for my drinks all night!

I also found out I got a new job Friday afternoon so being able to celebrate that by seeing one of my favourite bands live and then a night out with my girls on Saturday was kind of perfect. An old friend from university joined me at Slam Dunk on Sunday (her first music festival ever!) so that was real fun. I got to meet lots of new people, see some of my favourite bands, add to my wristband collection and also meet Sean Smith from The Blackout.

My favourite sets from Slam Dunk were without a doubt Red Jumpsuit Apparatus & All American Rejects who were headlining. They've been my favourite band since I was a teenager and even though I've seen them a few times before, I haven't seen them for a good few years now and had forgotten just how great they were. The lead singer is so charismatic and they played a real mix of songs from old and new albums, as well as upbeat and slower songs too! We also caught the last song of MC Lars' set which was really cool and upbeat, he got everyone up and dancing but I really wish we'd caught more (even though that would have meant missing We The Kings' set so it was a really tough decision only decided on by the fact that I've seen MC Lars about four times now and We The Kings' twice).

Since then I've just been enjoying my new job and checking out more music from some of the bands I managed to catch at Slam Dunk. I think the best kind of weekends are the ones that tend to be last minute, especially since it wasn't until the night before that we were entirely sure who was coming to Slam Dunk with us, and obviously the last minute Arctic Monkeys tickets. I haven't had my bed to myself for three days, let alone a moment to myself and it's been tiring but it's also been really fun!

How was your weekend? Did you get up to anything exciting? Let me know!
