As most of you already know, I'm off on a little road trip with my friends this week and won't be home until late Sunday evening. This is practically a dream come true for me. As much as I'd love to do a road trip across the USA - and I still do! - I think it's important to remember that the UK has some pretty awesome places to offer too. So that's what we're doing.

Essentially we'll be travelling from Newcastle, to Edinburgh, Liverpool, Leeds, Wolverhampton and then finally London to see one of our favourite bands of all time tour. Yes, some of you might find this geeky. But being that I'm literally touring the UK with two of my best friends, staying in some cool places, making some awesome memories and seeing my favourite band play live every night, I'd happily accept people calling me geeky.

Don't tell me you've never been tempted to do this yourself.

Except we're actually doing it. Originally we were just trying to decide where to see them after discovering their only London tour date was Warped tour which cost £80 (although in the end we got guestlist for that anyway...), wondering where was nearest, which city was best to visit to make a day out of it etc. And eventually we just deciced to do all of them.

It's taken a lot of arranging but we've somehow managed it. We've managed to budget a whole trip and are amazed at how much we've saved, and we're actually organised for once. I've even got a document with all emergency contact numbers on it, ha! The most fun has been putting together the playlists, or booking an extremely cheap but very glam party apartment for the Liverpool tour date. And what's even better is that I'll have plenty to blog about on my return, including lots of edgy outfits and awesome playlists.

So I'm about to embark on one of the best adventures of my life. Not just to see my favourite band, but to spend time with those closest to me, to make new memories and celebrate nights we'll always remember.

I mean, to be honest, it'll probably pee down with rain the whole time and we'll run out of money, but we've stocked up on beer and DVD's just in case this happens. After all, you're only young once. And I  love the fact that one day I'll be able to look back and say I did this!

Our seven day road trip starts now.

I've got some guest bloggers lined up as well as some scheduled posts, but in the meantime, we've set up a Tumblr where you can catch up with us. It's basically a way of just showcasing everything in one place ; all our Facebooks, Twitters, Instagrams, Foursquares etc are automatically updated to the website so if you wish you can log on and get a pretty much live feed of what we're up to. Funky, eh? The URL is

And if not I'll see you in seven days!

You can also find me on...
